Russian State Social University operates an official Volunteer Center of 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™.

We invite you to become a part of volunteer team on this global event!

RSSU Students Volunteer Center arranges recruitment and training of volunteers for the «Spectator services» functional area in Moscow, which includes support on a stadium (managing of audience flows, creating of festive environment for guests, providing of necessary information and arranging seating of guests on the stands).

«Spectator services» functional area provides you with the most valuable benefit of the volunteers program such as personal presence on a stadium at the main events.

How to apply?

Applications for both FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and 2018 FIFA World Cup now open on Registration is open to everyone, regardless of the gender, ethnic background and physical ability.

There is only one requirement: volunteers wishing to participate at the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup must be at least 18 years old by the 10th of May 2017, and those wishing to volunteer at the 2018 FIFA World Cup™ must be at least 18 years old by the 10th of May 2018.

International candidates will apply and go through the selection process from their respective home countries with online support. Candidates should be over 18 years-old, speak English and possess effective teamwork skills. Previous volunteering experience will be an additional advantage.

How to become a volunteer? Step by Step instruction:

Step 1: registration

The first step on your way is to register. The registration was started on 1 June 2016. On and you will find an online application form to complete to join the Program. The form takes about 30 minutes to fill in. You will need your ID and digital photo to upload to complete the form. You need choose three functional areas (highest priority is the first one, so choose “Spectator services”) and two cities where you would like to work as volunteer (i.e. Moscow).

Step 2: selection process

Then the selection process of the future volunteers will begin. First of all, the Russia 2018 Local Organising Committee (LOC) team will check the information provided by candidates and decide whether the candidates meet the age criteria.

Then the candidates will be invited to participate in the online tests (to get more information about your analytical skills, personal qualities, and your English). After that, the successful candidates (those who passed the tests) will proceed further to the interview at the relevant volunteer Center. The interviews will be either organised face-to-face or via Skype – for the candidates outside of Russia.

Important dates

All volunteer candidates for the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup will be informed of their selection results no later than February 2017, and volunteer candidates for the 2018 FIFA World Cup™ no later than February 2018.

Step 3: training

Candidates who have successfully passed the selection process will be invited to the next stage: training. Training sessions will be organised at the World Cup 2018 volunteer Centers. All of the future volunteers will be assigned to one of these Centers and placed in a training group. The details about the training sessions will be sent to the future volunteers via email.

The main purpose of the training sessions is to help the future volunteers to develop the skills they will need and to build up their existing capabilities.
