Center for Rural Development Studies at RSSU

MISSION

To research, catalog, analyze and publish developing sociological phenomena in rural Russian territories, with special emphasis on sustainable development and the impact of government policy.

DESCRIPTION

The Center for Rural Development Studies is an independent, non-profit research institute affiliated with the Russian State Social University.

The purpose of the Center is to conduct systematic and integrated research into social and general eco-system sustainability, reviewing and analyzing policy outcomes and, in general, studying the causal factors leading to rural communities in Russia either prospering or declining.

The Center conducts both theoretical and applied research with an aim to facilitating and developing both theoretical and methodological excellence in the segment. The approach is multi-disciplinary, systemic and integrative, including the disciplines of sociology, geography, political science, economics, agronomy and anthropology.

Our goal is to grow the Center into the preeminent research institution dedicated to the study of rural sociology of the north.


Center for Post-Totalitarian Studies at RSSU

MISSION

To research, catalog, analyze and publish the latest discoveries in societal transformative processes for societies transitioning out of totalitarian systems, including the evolving relationships between the individual, society and government.

DESCRIPTION

The Center for Post-Totalitarian Studies is an independent, non-profit research institute affiliated with the Russian State Social University.

The purpose of the Center is to conduct systematic and integrated research into the forces and dynamics, both local and global, affecting the transformative processes within any society transitioning out of a totalitarian model.

The Center conducts both theoretical and applied research with an aim to facilitating and developing both theoretical and methodological excellence in the segment. The approach is multi-disciplinary, systemic and integrative, including the disciplines of sociology, psychology, history, political science, economics and communications.

Our goal is to grow the Center into the preeminent research institution dedicated to the study of transitioning out of post-totalitarian societies.


Center for Conflict Resolution Studies at RSSU

MISSION

To research, catalog, analyze and publish the latest findings in conflict resolution methodologies and conflict dynamics in Russia as sociological phenomena, and to study in depth the effect of government policy on conflict prevention.

DESCRIPTION

The Center for Conflict Resolution Studies is an independent, non-profit research institute affiliated with the Russian State Social University.

The purpose of the Center is to conduct systematic and integrated research into the forces and dynamics, both local and global, leading to conflict situations between any organized groups. Drawing on its centuries of unique experience in the Caucasus region, as well as current border and geopolitical conflicts, and multi-faceted conflicts over national identity issues, Russia has a wealth of information and experience to draw on.

The Center conducts both theoretical and applied research with an aim to facilitating and developing both theoretical and methodological excellence in the segment. The approach is multi-disciplinary, systemic and integrative, including the disciplines of sociology, psychology, history, political science, economics, religion, military science, international relations and communications.

Our goal is to grow the Center into the preeminent research institution dedicated to the study of conflicts and conflict resolution.
