RSSU rector Natalia Pochinok took part in the Forum of Rectors of Russian and Cuban universities

On May 23 Havana hosted the Third Forum of Rectors of Russian and Cuban universities. RSSU Rector Natalia Pochinok took part in the Forum and signed agreements regarding cooperation of our university with the University of Artemisa and the University of Sancti Spiritus

Minister of Education of Cuba José Ramon Saborido, Russian ambassador in Cuba Mikhail Kamynin and  heads of 44 top universities of Russia and Cuba discussed projects of cooperation between universities of these countries. Cuba was represented by rectors of the University of Havana, Technological University of Havana, University of Educational Science, University of Information Technologies and other universities of various provinces of Cuba including Matanzas, Pinar del Río, Artemisa, Cienfuegos, Camagüey, Holguín, Guantánamo.

Representatives of Russia and Cuba discussed pressing issues of Russian and Cuban Humanitarian cooperation. Representatives of the parties made a decision about initiation of educational and scientific exchanges and establishment of association of Russian and Cuban universities.

At the end of the forum Natalia Pochinok was awarded the title of honorary professor of the University of Guantánamo which established fruitful cooperation with RSSU.

Natalia Pochinok: «The University of Guantánamo is one of the key partners of RSSU in Cuba. Last year we opened RSSU branch in this university and also started implementing joint double degree programs in the specialties "Economics" and "Pedagogy"».

During the forum Natalia Pochinok attended to the important issue of inclusive education and talked about participation of RSSU in Abilympics Championship

Participants of the forum expressed the hope for strengthening of Russian and Cuban humanitarian lialison.
