The territory of the initiative youth "Biryusa" is an annual forum for activists of the youth movements of the Siberian Federal District, which is being held for the twelfth time.
During the educational forum "Society", which was held from July 20 to 26, more than 700 students learned about all kinds of volunteering. Within the volunteer year, the forum discussed the main areas of volunteer activity, all the key events of 2018, ideas were proposed on attracting volunteers to the volunteer community.
"The Volunteer Center of the RSSU is the first to separate inclusion from social volunteering, and the only one that develops an inclusive volunteer movement in Russia. We have a huge pool of trained volunteers who can communicate and work with people with disabilities. We have something to share, "explains Lyaysan Galikhanova, head of the network of Voluntary Centers for Inclusive Volunteering "Abilimpix".
Leysan Galikhanova acted as speaker at the forum as a leader in inclusive volunteering. She spoke about the movement "Abilimpix", presented to the forum participants an updated collection of methodical recommendations, which included practices from the regions, created for the year. And she conducted a master class in the form of lifehacks, where she gave recommendations for working with each nosology individually: how to interact with people with musculoskeletal disorders, hearing, vision or speech impairment.
"I asked if there is anyone here from the volunteer movement Abilimpix, and the two girls raised their hands. It was very pleasant to realize that there are people in the Krasnoyarsk Territory who do care. You can see how the guys are burning their eyes, how they are lit by this business, are happy when they help someone. This is an inexpressible feeling, " Lyaysan Galikhanova shares her impressions.
Inclusive volunteering develops in 85 regions, and the Volunteer Center of the RSSU is the heart of this movement, it heads the national center Abilimpix.
