International Students @RUSS

Sayl Teresa Mengana López, University of Guantánamo, Cuba

I only can thank you for your attention. These months have been very useful, it has been a growing experience. Thanks for giving us the opportunity of learning a new language and knowing a new culture. At the end we will be able to share our experiences with our people so.... THANK YOU FOR THAT. We made new friends that helped us through this process and we will carry them in our hearts for ever.

Ty Park, student of Kangnam University

Living in Moscow as a exchange student of Russian State Social University was so nice. Even though my Russian skills are not good enough to communicate with others, personnel of International Affair helped me a lot in English. In addition, My professors who are Елена, Светлана и Андрей were really enthusiastic about teaching students. It apparently improved my Russian and made me know about Russian cultures. I lived in first dormitory with Russian roommate. Neighbors including him were kind. There were nothing to complain when it comes to living in dormitory. Thank all RSSU for being there.

Dang Linh Trang, Vietnam

The university time is very interesting and useful thing for every person. I study journalism, it’s quite difficult because I have been studying the Russian language for a little time. I am glad that all Russians help me to get accustomed to Russian culture and language. I like that university it provides us good conditions to study. I am sure that this university will be in my memory for a long time!

Duong Tri Duc, Vietnam

Before the studying in the university I thought a lot about all new thing that I will meet. And now I have already stayed here for 1 year and I have got lots of impressions, knowledge and made many friends. Every day being in RSSU is a surprise for me. My group mates are friendly and wonderful people. I study journalism here and want to be a professional in the future.  I am a foreigner here and a face some challenges but I need to be more diligent and reach my goal!

Enrique Garduño, Mexico

RSSU welcomed me with open arms and from the first day I have felt at home. Learning Russian is like opening new doors to new opportunities and visions of the world. The challenges have been many, overcoming the barriers of such a challenging language and facing the Russian culture has been exciting. And although it seems impossible, the Russian culture shares many problems and aspirations with the Mexican culture.

Mahamat Ali Mboulumi, Chad

I am a young student, I always wanted to make friends with people from foreign countries. RSSU offered me the chance to do even more than I thought. I end up with dozens of friends from different nationalities. Now I can understand, read, write and speak in Russian language, and I think I have learnt it quickly. If you have an opportunity to study in RSSU you should use this chance. I would like to thank RSSU university!

Wankio Tchuignang Vanessa Laure, Cameroon

Before coming in this country I had apprehensions about weather, about how to integrate in Russia. Some of my fears appeared to be real, for example weather was indeed frosty, cold was intense and constant. However, the faculty and the employees of RSSU, where I’m learning Russian, are very friendly and hospitable and helped us a lot to overcome all difficulties.

The Russian language is really complicated. Despite the fact that I’m doing my best in learning this language, sometimes it’s still difficult for me to understand it and to express my ideas and thoughts in Russian, but definitely I will continue studying here to get more education.

Brejnev Kinsanga, Democratic Republic of Congo.

I’m living here since 23d of December 2016. I’m learning the Russian language at Russian State Social University. I live in the student hostel number 2, 40, Losinoostrovskaya street. At the beginning of my being in Russia I was upset because of very cold weather, also I wasn’t able to communicate with my roommates, because all of them spoke Russian and English, but not French. We had to use dictionaries to speak to each other.

But now I understand Russian well thanks to my studying in RSSU. I can freely communicate with my friends, I can go shopping etc. When I was living in my country, I thought that it was easy to live in Russia and that education there was inexpensive. But when I came to Russia I realized that it wasn’t in this way. I had to manage with diverse difficulties. Nevertheless, I love Russia and I’m glad to study in RSSU.

Baek Juyeon, Korea Kyung Hee

Now I study Russian language at Russian State Social University. It’s getting more interesting and funny to study in the university, because before I only studied grammar and could not talk with Russians, but now I can. I made different friends from Colombia and Mongolia. At the University we talk a lot and get acquainted with new culture. The teacher always helps me to speak more. Our lessons start early in the morning, sometimes I want to sleep a lot.

Lia Yankulova, Bulgaria

I am grateful to RSSU for the experience that it gave me not only while learning Russian language, but also while meeting many other students and people, both Russian and foreigners. I have improved personally for only one academic year and have never been so satisfied with what I've achieved thanks to everyone working in this university.

Amandine Bourse, exchange student, Université Blaise Pascal, France

I had the great opportunity to study in RSSU, and this is something I don't regret. Living in Moscow is a unique experience, that I recommend to students who want not only to improve their language skills, but also to discover and get closer to the Russian culture. In RSSU I had the chance to meet people from many countries, and also to have wonderful classmates who were always ready to help me. Moreover, I would like to thank especially Kate Sandler (head of the international department) for her constant support, her kindness and for being so professional
